Design packaging for an MPM-exclusive seed product, focusing on plants that can thrive in Montreal’s climate. The goal was to make urban gardening more appealing and accessible while creating packaging that felt unique to the city and its people. The challenge was to develop a concept that stood out from conventional seed packets and resonated with Montrealers' lifestyle.

Marché Public de Montréal (MPM) is a network of markets across the city that provides fresh, locally sourced products to Montrealers. As a hub for community and sustainability, MPM emphasizes accessibility to quality goods.

Rather than traditional seed packets, I explored how to make planting more interactive and innovative. Seed bombs stood out as an alternative. To connect the product to Montreal, I drew inspiration from the city's visual language. Arrows, a recurring motif in metro signs and bike paths, guide daily movement, making them a potent symbol of direction and purpose.

The final design features three aromatic seed bomb kits, each tailored to a sensory experience. I incorporated the arrows into both the function of the packaging and its visual element. The arrow-shaped packaging reinforces each kit’s purpose: pointing up for energy, straight for focus, and down for relaxation. This visual and structural approach blends well-being and aromatic benefits with a recognizable element of Montreal.
